Ford South Africa has introduced the new Ford Tourneo Custom Kombi, an eight-seat passenger vehicle that pairs generous interior space with modern connectivity and everyday comfort. It replaces the Tourneo Custom Trend and brings the latest generation of Ford’s people carrier to buyers who need a dependable way to move passengers, whether for family life, business, shuttle services or fleet operations.

Power comes from a 2.0-litre SiT diesel engine producing 100 kW and 360 Nm, matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The combination delivers smooth, effortless progress, making the Kombi as comfortable in city traffic as it is on longer trips.

The Tourneo Custom Kombi uses a fixed eight-seat layout dedicated to carrying passengers, with ample space for occupants and their belongings. Storage compartments are spread throughout the cabin for everyday items, while the driver and front passenger get armrests. Durable cloth upholstery keeps the interior comfortable and practical for regular use.

Outside, Daytime Running Lights sharpen the Kombi’s look and make it more visible to other road users. Buyers can also opt for 16-inch alloy wheels.

Practicality comes first, but technology hasn’t been left behind. A 13-inch central touchscreen dominates the dashboard, giving access to key vehicle functions and connectivity features. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow compatible smartphones to integrate seamlessly, and an 8-inch digital instrument display keeps vital information in the driver’s line of sight.

FordPass connectivity extends the experience beyond the vehicle, offering access to connected features through the FordPass app.

Like all Transit and Tourneo models, the Kombi is fitted with a Driver Monitoring System. An infrared camera tracks the driver’s head and eye movements for signs of distraction, and if any are detected, a warning appears on the instrument panel to help the driver refocus on the road.

The arrival of the Kombi brings the established Tourneo Custom Trend’s space and practicality into a new generation, with upgraded technology and modern design.

The Ford Tourneo Custom Kombi SWB 8AT is priced at R996,000 including VAT. That price includes a six-year/90,000 km Ford Optional Service Plan, a four-year/120,000 km Ford warranty, four years of unlimited-distance Roadside Assistance and a five-year/unlimited-distance corrosion warranty. Over-the-counter parts and service parts are covered for two years with no distance limit. Service intervals are set at 15,000 km or annually, whichever comes first.

Buyers can upgrade to a Ford Protect Service or Maintenance Plan of up to eight years or 165,000 km. The warranty can be extended to as much as seven years or 200,000 km, and Roadside Assistance can be extended by an additional one or two years.
