A key reason for the Ranger’s continued dominance is its evolving engine range, now updated for 2026.
The latest line-up introduces a 2.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine, delivering strong performance with 222 kW and 452 Nm. This adds a powerful petrol option to the range for the first time in years.
At the same time, Ford is phasing out the 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine and expanding the use of the 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel, which produces 184 kW and 600 Nm. This engine is now available in more variants, offering excellent towing capability and effortless performance.
The 2.0-litre single turbo diesel remains in the line-up for work-focused models, now improved with a timing chain system and paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission in selected variants.
This updated engine range ensures that buyers have the right balance of power, efficiency, and durability for both business and lifestyle use.
